Tim Tebow Visits Delta Technical College’s Cosmetology Salon for a Night to Shine Event

Horn Lake, MS-Delta Technical College (DTC) was honored to be a part of the national Night to Shine event, an unforgettable prom experience celebrating people with special needs, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.  DTC’s Cosmetology Program students (under the supervision of licensed instructors) provided more than 200 beauty services to 70 Night to Shine prom queens and kings at The Salon located at DTC’s Horn Lake campus on Friday, February 7th, 2020.

“Our Delta Technical College staff and students came together for a great cause today – to provide hair, makeup, nails and other beauty services for the attendees of the Night to Shine prom. We were so honored to be a part of this, and we want to thank the Tim Tebow Foundation for making this a very special night for so many people,” Beth Anderson, COO & Co-Owner of DTC.

Tim Tebow stopped by The Salon at DTC to visit with the queens and kings as they received their beauty services, and shared words of encouragement with all the participants and volunteers who made a Night to Shine possible.

“We are so proud to be a part of the Night to Shine event and to help the kings and queens look their best so they can shine! This was an amazing experience for our students to be a part of and to help a great cause in our community. Anytime we can come together to support a greater purpose, like the Tim Tebow Foundation, we feel blessed and are just beyond excited that we were able to take part in this. Tim coming to our campus was amazing and made this day so much more special for all involved,” Demitria Pullin, Director of Cosmetology at DTC.

After getting their hair, makeup, nails, and other salon services, the kings and queens headed to the DeSoto County Night to Shine event, hosted at Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando, MS.
