Delta Technical College Honored with Truck Driving School Award by Schneider

Delta Technical College (DTC) is honored to be named Schneider’s Truck Driving School of the Quarter!

According to Schneider’s reports, 58 DTC graduates from the Horn Lake, MS campus were hired with Schneider in the third quarter of 2024. DTC aims to continue referring eligible entry-level drivers to Schneider’s program.

Schneider has been a premier provider of transportation and logistics services for over 80 years. Schneider’s solutions include Regional and Long-Haul Truckload, Expedited, Dedicated, Bulk, Intermodal, Brokerage, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management and Port Logistics.

DTC’s goal is to help all graduates secure employment in their career field of choice. At DTC, all qualified graduates get access to Job Placement Assistance. DTC offers two truck driver training options: a 16-day CDL Training Course and a 20-week Professional Truck Driving Program.

“I’ve been in the trucking industry for over 20 years. It’s a job that you can do for a very long time, and it’s a job that’s going to be around for a while. If you have good work ethic, can be professional, be available and dependable, you can be a good truck driver,” said Tony McGuire, Placement Coordinator and 3rd Party Examiner for Delta Technical College.
