Horn Lake, MS Campus History

On August 18, 2004, Delta Tech opened its doors. The first program offered was Medical Assisting, followed in September by the Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician Program.

Combined, the campus was comprised of three separate buildings, one for HVAC/R, one for medical assisting, and one for an administration office. One year after opening, Delta Tech had enrolled 199 students on campus.

Delta Tech added the Medical Coding Specialist Program in October 2008, followed by the Welding Program and the Cosmetology Program in March 2009. The Dental Assisting Program came soon after in April 2009, then the I/C/R Electrician Program in April 2010. Finally, the CDL Training Course and Professional Truck Driving Program were added in June 2013.

After a large number of students enrolled during February 2009, Delta Tech needed to move its facilities to a location that could accommodate all of its students and programs. So in March 2009, Delta Tech moved its main office from its original location in South Haven, to where it resides currently in Horn Lake.

Delta Tech is a year-round vocational school providing hands-on training in a diverse mix of mechanical tradesallied health, professional truck driving and cosmetology programs and courses. Delta Tech’s mission is to offer workforce training that will provide graduates with the skills necessary to gain entry-level employment in their chosen field.
