Delta Technical College Is Now Open

Hands-on lab is back in session

Delta Technical College (DTC)’s two campus locations are now open following safety and social distancing practices.DTC is excited to welcome back students who are ready to begin their hands-on training. After working diligently to coordinate the delivery of education online during COVID-19, DTC is now ready to have students back on campus to receive their hands-on training in the classroom and lab. As always, each campus will follow CDC guidelines to help protect the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff.As of the July 6th, 2020 start date, students will receive one hundred percent of their education on campus, with the following exceptions:

  • Horn Lake, MS Campus: Cosmetology students will start the program and receive their education online for the first few weeks.
  • Ridgeland, MS Campus: Medical Assisting Program will receive the lab portion of their program on designated days and times. The remainder of the Medical Assisting Program will be taught online for the first module.
All staff and students must adhere to safety guidelines on campus, including only entering and exiting the building through designated doors, frequently washing hands with soap and water, using the hand sanitizer and hands-free trash cans readily available throughout the campus, wearing a face covering while at the campus, as well as any required personal protective equipment during lab training, and adhering to social distancing.DTC is committed to keeping a clean environment and will be disinfecting and cleaning all frequently touched surfaces regularly. DTC takes the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff very seriously, and will continue to follow the guidelines offered by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), as well as those set forth by our campus community, including the Mississippi Department of Health (MDH), our accrediting agency, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), and the county health department guidelines.
