chronicleDelta Technical College launches Delta Tech Chronicle

Delta Technical College recently released the first issue of its e-newsletter, The Delta Tech Chronicle, on Dec. 15 for those connected to the Delta Tech community.

Featuring student and faculty success stories, campus and program announcements and more, the newsletter will be published in electronic format on the 15th of each month. In addition, a print version of the newsletter will also be published quarterly and distributed through Delta Tech’s campus network beginning in February 2015.

The project, assembled largely from Delta Tech’s blog,culminates several months of content and design work in an effort to strengthen Delta Tech’s already tight-knit community and foster an interest in the issues that matter to those associated with the school.

Digital subscriptions will be offered free of charge; the print edition of the newsletter will also be provided to Delta Tech campus locations at no cost.

Curious about what events are taking place across Delta Tech's campuses? Interested in a more intimate look at Delta Tech’s programs, students, faculty and staff? Delta Tech’s new blog offers readers just that and more, complete with feature-length profiles of those within the Delta Tech community and the issues that impact them.

Delta Tech’s blog is easily shareable across a number of social media platforms and comments and discussions on each post are encouraged – comments deemed as inappropriate will be subject to removal by the Delta Tech marketing department.

New blog entries will be posted multiple times per week, so make sure to check back often for new content.

Delta Tech offers assistance to Anthem students

Delta Technical College is offering assistance to any and all students impacted by the closure announcement of Anthem Career College’s Memphis campus location late Wednesday afternoon.


According to area media outlets, more than 700 students will be affected by the closure, which is set to take place in November. Many of Anthem’s students are nearing the completion of their coursework and Delta Tech recognizes the considerable strain Anthem’s students are experiencing with the disruption of their education.

mrWF/Delta Tech Scholarship Program

The mikeroweWORKS Foundation and Delta Technical College are now accepting submissions for the 2014-2015 mrWF/Delta Technical College Scholarship! The scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors for the 2014-2015 academic year and awards seven 100 percent tuition-paid scholarships at each of Delta Tech's seven campus locations throughout the Midwest and Mississippi Delta regions.

Delta Technical College is proud to announce submissions are currently being accepted for the second annual Delta Tech High School Grant Program!
The program is open to eligible high schools and career and vocational centers to assist in thepurchasing of equipment, renovating shops and labs and obtaining the necessary resources for classroom instruction. Schools and career centers can submit materials for consideration through March 29, 2015 and winners will be announced on or about May 6.

The Delta Tech $1,000 Senior Scholarship Program was established during the 2013-2014 academic year to assist graduating high school seniors in securing the hands-on, workforce training necessary to succeed in today’s competitive job market. This year’s program is once again open to graduating seniors during the 2014-2015 academic year. Students must complete all application materials, including a FAFSA application, no later than July 1, 2015 to be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship.
